DIY Natural Blackhead Removal Mask/Scrub with quick results

DIY Natural Blackhead Removal Mask/Scrub with quick results

I can assume that we all hate blackheads yes? Well fear not my friends…there is a solution for that! Pun intended πŸ™‚ It’s this nifty DIY Blackhead Removal mask/scrub that has only 2 ingredients and let me tell you, it works wonders! It can be used by men and women with excellent results. All you need is half of an orange (technically even less), and baking soda! You just mix them together to make a paste, apply to your face, let it sit for 10-20 minutes, then gently scrub it off. Easy Peasy!

This is usually my “go to” scrub since it’s so simple and I always have the ingredients on hand. The baking soda is gentle on the skin since its so fine, and the orange juice helps tighten your skin. I recommend doing this after a hot shower or steaming your face to open up your pores for better results. Your skin will feel much tighter after the fact and also feel extremely smooth. Rinse off with cold water to also help tighten skin and tone your face with some witch hazel. This helps your skin not feel as dry.  I also recommend keeping a towel near by as the mask can drip, or once it hardens it starts to flake.

The original recipe was from Melissa Colgan- style editor at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine yet I can’t find the link πŸ™ sorry guys! according to her this mask/scrub is also good for hormonal breakouts

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons Baking Soda

6 teaspoons fresh squeezed Orange Juice

To Apply:

Gently apply over face avoiding eyes.

Allow to sit for 10-20 minutes (until mask has hardened)

Lightly wet your hands with cold water and scrub your face with the hardened mixture while removing it a little at a time

Make sure to rinse completely (the baking soda tends to hide in your hair line)

Tone with witch hazel

Hi Natasa, Thank you for the comment. Toning is optional although it does help close up your pores. Hope that helps. Best Wishes!

      Hi Becky,

Thanks for the comment. I am aware you can’t shrink or close your pores. I do not mention anywhere that this helps shrink or close them. It is simply a mask to help remove blackheads thus making your pores appear smaller. I do photoshop all of my photos to achieve best lighting & temperature of the actual photo, yet I can assure you that my results in the after photo are not due to photoshop. Best wishes!

Actually, I am not aware of this blackhead removal DIY home remedies. But I think that I should apply this remedies on my face.

Mostly I am using Fab India Neem Tulsi Gel Scrub for removing the blackheads. This scrub is made out of natural ingredients. And this is work great for me. After using this scrub my skin becomes smooth and glowy. I like its refreshing smell.
