This is the fluffiest softest yummiest whipped cream you will ever have. I love this whipped cream even if I wasn’t dairy free. It has a slight hint of coconut that adds such a delicious flavor. Pretty much everyone that has tried this doesn’t even know its dairy free. You can use this to top any dessert, breakfast, with fresh fruit or just eat it straight from the bowl:) It only has 3 ingredients and is super simple to make.
- 1 can full fat coconut milk
- 2 T sweetener ( raw honey, maple syrup, agave, or sugar)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- First you will need to put the can of full fat coconut milk and place it in the refrigerator until completely chilled. I usually do this the night before so it has chilled at least 12-24 hours. When you are ready to make the whipped cream, remove the coconut milk from the fridge. When you open the can, you will notice that the coconut milk has separated and the cream is on top. Scoop the thick top layer off and into a mixing bowl. This will become our whipped cream make sure not to add any of the coconut liquid (you can save that and use it in smoothies)! Add 2 Tbs of sweetener to your taste and ½ tsp of vanilla. Mix until soft peaks are formed. You can save any leftovers in the fridge as well.
